The iron hat helmet is made of 1 - 1.2 - 1.5 - 2 mm thick sheet steel by hand. Replica of an iron hat from the 12th century. Fully suitable for exhibition combat.
This helmet was mainly used by the common infantry, but occasionally knights also wore the monkshood when it was very hot, sometimes supplemented by a chin guard (beard) attached to the breastplate. In the middle of the 15th century, the monkshood developed into the sallet, in which the brim was lengthened on one side to a neck brim and on the other side was shortened considerably.
If you want to wear a quilted hood in the helmet, measure your head circumference including a quilted hood.
