Bascinet  "hounskull" or "pig faced bacinet", type of bascinet visor, Milan, c. 1400, equipped with ventilation holes. Also called of the German hundsgugel (dog head), a nickname for the pointed visor found on bascinets of the late fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries.

Along the edge is riveted chain mail in a range, known as the "bearded", to protect the neck.

In use the heavy cavalry in the second half of the fourteenth century. Made entirely of wrought steel hand.
