Viking helmet, particular helm type formed by metal slices riveted to crossing bands. Provided with shaped visor, lined cheekpieces, neck plate and horn-shaped crest aiming at terrify the enemies. Used by the german people during the Vth-VIIth centuries. Made entirely in burnished handworked iron with brass-plated metal decorations. Lined with leather and surmounted by real bovine horns, varnished in black.
