He was part of the powerful Persian army under the command of Darío III. at the Battle of Iso in 333 BC. versus BC and won a great victory. The Persian king fled east with all his forces, leaving the royal treasure, Phenicia, Palestine and Egypt in Alejandro's hands without offering any resistance.
Proclaimed the son of the god Amon, he founded Alexandria and encouraged the building of the Faro of Alexandria. In 327 BC he had conquered an empire that spread from Greece to Asia Minor and India.
He realized a victorious campaign of more than 32,000 kilometers that lasted 11 years.
