Bellows sallet helmet

Bellows sallet helmet, 14th century medieval helmet used with armour, provided with movable armor with eye slot, visor mounted on pins and equipped with ventilation holes.

The sallet (in English Sallet) is a helmet that appeared at the end of the 15th century and which gradually replaced the bascinet.

It could have a hinged visor or be a complete single piece, with a slit to allow vision.

Other helmets had no visor at all (open sallet) and still others added a removable gorget. This helmet stands out from others for the unique shape of its visor, called bellows.

For maximum comfort, the helmet is equipped with an internal lining (leather padding) and a chin strap. This medieval sallet is ideal for combat and buhurt (mandatory 2mm thickness), but also for medieval re-enactment parades. Upon request it is possible to have the medieval helmet in stainless steel with supplement.
