Medieval Shaffron - Medieval Horse Armor
Medieval Shaffron - Medieval Horse Armor
As with a helmet, the protection of a horse's forehead always represents a compromise between protection and breathability, vision and comfort. For ornamental purposes, but also for psychological reasons, horses' foreheads could always feature numerous integrated decorative elements such as feathers, horns, etc.
Part of the armor, responsible for defending the horse's head, consists of a plate with slits to ensure the horse's vision.
Made of 1 mm thick carbon steel, entirely handmade and fully portable.
This Shaffron is suitable for all sizes. It can be attached to your horse using leather straps so as not to restrict its movement. The shaffron has four pre-drilled holes for this purpose. Leather straps are not included. Fasteners for attachment are not included.
We manufacture this product with the utmost care and attention to the horse's well-being. At 1 mm thick for lightness, its edges are rounded to prevent injury, and its smooth, blackened interior ensures optimal comfort for this exceptional animal.
