Templar Cross Tile, embossed resin tile with the symbol of the crusading license. The appearance is in every respect that of a genuine handmade terracotta tile.
This symbol represents the four elements (arms) and the quintessence (the center). The vermilion cross was granted by Pope Eugene III in 1147. This symbol served as a shield and strengthened the Templars in their fight against the infidels.
The spread and renown of this Templar cross are immense; it is known throughout the world and was even used by Christopher Columbus during his voyages of exploration as the symbol of the "Three Caravels."
