Sword with Brazil Nut Pommel and Scabbard, Stage Combat SK-B

In the High Middle Ages, Viking swords began to lose some of their characteristic features, such as the broad, gradually tapering blade and the tricorn pommel, and increasingly resembled the longswords of the Middle Ages.

This faithful replica replaces the tricorn pommel with a Brazil nut-shaped one, and the short, thick guard of earlier swords is adapted to the thinner, elongated, and classic medieval cross-shaped guard. The blade extends through the hilt to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The grip is wrapped with leather. The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and hardened to approximately 48 HRC. It features a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great flexibility and lightness. The blade tip and edges are blunt and rounded. The sword comes with a beautiful wood and leather scabbard with a wooden belt loop (for belts up to 5 cm wide). The scabbard has a richly decorated brass chape.
