Viking Sword with Scabbard, 10th Century, Reenactment Sword SK-B

A beautifully reconstructed 10th-century Viking sword based on artifacts found in England. As early as the 8th century, isolated Vikings raided the British coast in search of easy plunder. From the 9th century onward, however, this tactic changed, and Scandinavians began to settle and establish permanent settlements in England.

This sword is entirely handcrafted. The crossguard and the typical pommel with five ridges are made of steel. The blade extends through the hilt to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The grip is wrapped with leather. The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and hardened to approximately 48 HRC. It features a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great flexibility and lightness. The blade tip and edges are blunt and rounded. The sword comes with a beautiful wood and leather scabbard with a wooden belt loop (for belts up to 5 cm wide). The scabbard has a richly decorated brass chape.
