Bascinet Helmet - 2mm

The bascinet helmet with a folding visor represents one of the most significant developments in medieval head protection, widely used throughout Europe during the Hundred Years' War until the early 15th century. The pointed crown was designed to deflect blows, while the hinged folding visor offered complete facial protection, with the convenience of being able to raise or remove it when not in combat.

This reproduction remains faithful to the historical form, crafted from mild steel in two gauges. The 14G version offers high resistance, ideal for full-contact reenactment and combat. The visor features ventilation holes for airflow and a historically correct hinged locking mechanism.

Internally, the bascinet helmet features a stitched lining and a leather chin strap for comfort and a secure fit even during prolonged use.
