Looking for a high-quality yet affordable sword for stage combat? With this two-handed medieval sword, we offer the discerning fencer the ideal weapon – a robust yet lightweight, well-balanced stage combat sword that won't break the bank.
The sword exhibits the typical characteristics of a traditional two-handed sword from the late European Middle Ages and represents, in a sense, an ideal type of the late medieval longsword. This classic example of a long slashing and thrusting sword is modeled after the knightly swords wielded in the 15th century.
The long, double-edged carbon steel blade with a flattened, diamond-shaped cross-section tapers gently towards the point, both in profile and distally. It is forged through to the pommel and riveted there at the end of the grip. The unsharpened striking edges are approximately 2.5 mm / 1.5 mm thick, and the tip is rounded.
The hilt consists of a long grip with a wooden core and a brown leather covering, a straight steel crossguard, and an elongated, eight-faceted plug pommel, also made of steel, with concave sides and a rounded end.
All in all, this combat-ready late medieval sword combines optimal weight distribution, maneuverability, and a secure grip with elegant simplicity.
The late medieval knight's sword comes complete with a beautiful wooden scabbard covered in brown leather. The tip is reinforced with a blued steel chape, and the leather covers part of the crossguard at the ricasso. The scabbard also features an adjustable shoulder strap.
Of course, this two-handed sword is not only perfect for reenactment, stage combat, or sparring, but also as a collector's item, decorative object, or prop to complete your costume.
Sophisticated design and top quality at an affordable price—with such a great price-performance ratio, there's no reason to hesitate! So order this first-class sword now and see for yourself!
The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regularly maintaining the blade, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil that is excellent for preserving steel products.
