European infantry halberds
European infantry halberds - Polearms with iron heads.
The halberd is a polearm consisting of a long wooden shaft topped with a point, an axe blade, and a hook. Designed for close-quarters combat, it was used by foot soldiers to engage both enemy infantry and cavalry. It was employed by European armies from the late Middle Ages through the early 18th century.
A quintessential polearm of the 16th-century European infantry. Featured here are six models of halberds (F1, F2, F3, F4, F7, and F8)
Recognizable by their axe-like front blade, rear hook, and long central spike, as well as two "roncone" (bill-hook) style polearms (F5 and F6), distinguished by a diamond-shaped cross-section, a curved forward-facing
hook, and one or two rear-facing projections.
For both types, the wooden shaft can be disassembled into two parts for easier transport; the upper end is finished with a fabric fringe, and the grip is wrapped in velvet, available in various colors.
The price is for one spear.
Total length: 200 cm.
