Bascinet Helmet
Battle Ready Helmet – Medieval Bascinet with "Ship's Prow" Visor
Authentic reconstruction of a medieval combat bascinet, inspired by models developed in Northern Italy around 1490 AD. This helmet is distinguished by its distinctive fold-down visor shaped like a ship's prow, a feature that sets it apart from traditional bascinets.
Designed to offer complete head protection, it is ideal for both combat and historical reenactments and parades. The structure is composed of a solid steel shell with a perforated front plate for visibility and ventilation.
Crafted entirely by hand by Italian artisans, this helmet represents the excellence of the Italian gunsmithing tradition, handed down from the Middle Ages to the present day. The carbon steel is meticulously crafted, with precise finishes and the utmost attention to durability, comfort, and historical authenticity.
