Cornu, Roman horn made of brass

The cornu was used as a wind instrument in the Roman Empire. The horn was carried in the Roman army by the so-called cornicen (horn blowers) and used to send commands in the form of horn blasts across the battlefield.

Outside of battle, it was used as a ceremonial instrument.

This working replica is made of brass and has a wooden handle.

The horn is delivered unassembled. It consists of a three-piece threaded barrel, a mouthpiece and a grip.

The final assembly must be carried out by the customer, but is very easy to do.
