Barbute Helmet - Barbuta Helmet
The Barbute Helmet was very popular between the 14th and 15th centuries, worn by both infantry and cavalry. It was derived from the bascinet helmet, but still lacked a coif.
The helmet fits close to the head and features a median rib between the front and the nape of the neck. It has a "Y"-shaped opening with a nose guard. Made entirely of hand-crafted steel.
