Italian Barbuta, c. 1440, 2 mm steel

- suitable for combat reenactment -

This highly authentic helmet replica, fully suitable for combat reenactment, is part of the famous "Avant" armor housed in the Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow. The armor dates back to approximately 1440. This type of helmet was predominantly found in Northern Italy during the late Middle Ages, though it was worn throughout Europe.

The helmet is crafted from 2 mm thick steel: hand-shaped from two pieces, then carefully welded, ground smooth, and polished.

It features a very comfortable, padded fabric liner and a sturdy chin strap with a buckle.

This helmet model is available in sizes M and L.
