The symbolism of the Templar Cross ring: As with seals, Templar crosses are not unique, as different types and shapes have been adopted over the years.

The simple Greek cross was the first distinctive cross of the order. The other designs are all, more or less, inspired by the cross pattée, a cross with equal arms that widen on the outside.
