Gothic Leg protection - Medieval leg armor, 1.2 mm Steel, Pair - Gauntlets and Kneecaps -

This wearable, fully articulated replica of late medieval plate armor for the legs is made of 1.2 mm (18 gauge) steel and blackened on the inside for better corrosion protection. It protects the thighs to about the middle of the lower legs and has the multi-layered design typical of late medieval Gothic plate armor (15th/16th centuries).

The leg armor consists of a kneecap (also called a knee plate), a greave, and a short greave. The necessary flexibility is provided by a sliding mechanism in which the individual sliding elements are connected to each other by sturdy steel rivets.

Three adjustable, approximately 2 mm thick leather straps with brass buckles are riveted to the back. This allows for easy individual size adjustment.

The edges are decorated with grooves and small steel rivets, and the knee plates are equipped with flower-shaped, slightly inwardly curved steel discs riveted to the sides (see also our floating discs – item no. 1016634200).

These articulated greaves are ideal for late medieval and Renaissance settings. They are equally suitable for portraying a variety of historical figures and fictional or fantasy characters and will perfectly complete your transformation into a proud, noble knight or warrior, whether for medieval reenactment, LARP, stage, TV/film, costume design, or cosplay.
