Medieval Knightly Sword SK-C
Medieval Knightly Sword with Leather Scabbard, Blunt
Replica of a high medieval knightly sword suitable for combat reenactment. A distinctive feature of this sword is its pommel, a variation of the Paranus pommel shape, classified by Oakeshott as a 13th-century design.
This sword is entirely handcrafted. The crossguard and pommel are made of heat-treated malleable cast iron. The blade, forged from oil-hardened spring steel and tempered to approximately 48 HRC, extends through the pommel and is hand-riveted in place. The grip is wrapped in leather. The blade features a pronounced fuller, providing excellent flexibility while keeping the sword relatively light. The tip and edges are blunt and rounded for safe reenactment use.
The sword is supplied with a high-quality wood-core scabbard covered in leather, featuring a wooden belt loop suitable for belts up to 5 cm (2 inches) wide. The scabbard is also fitted with a steel chape.
