Sir William Marshal Sword with Scabbard, 12th Century, Reenactment Sword, SK-B

The original of this sword once belonged to Sir William Marshal, first Earl of Pembroke, one of England's most distinguished knights. He served the British Crown faithfully and devotedly under Henry II, Richard the Lionheart, and John Lackland. The sword is now housed in a British museum.

Our reconstruction is a highly detailed replica of the original. It is entirely handcrafted. The crossguard and pommel, made of heat-treated, malleable cast iron, impress with their understated elegance and functionality. The spring steel blade extends through the hilt to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The grip is wrapped with leather. The blade features a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great flexibility and lightness. It is oil-hardened to approximately 48 HRC. The blade edge is not sharpened. The sword comes with a beautiful wood and leather scabbard with brass rings for attaching it to a sword belt.
